He's a good prof, imho. (For this class, Henry had a TA—Ma'am Monique, the prev prof for this class)
You can infer from his name, he's not Filipino (Australian, I think). He is vvv masipag magturo, and he's very kind too. It isn't really a language barrier matter—we all speak English in class, and I find it cute every time (Sir) Henry tries to speak or write announcements with Filipino words; it's more of cultural(?) barriers (teaching style, but mostly in terms of grading and feedback haha), I guess. I am unsure if he's going onsite for Sem1, but had him online last semester.
You need to know first what system dynamics is. Well, he will introduce it to you naman at Module 1. But for the entirety of the course, it builds up so a good problem identification is the key (Pro is your work is progressive; con is it's disadvantageous if tamad ka or you prioritize other thing). For me, ngl, it was draining (moreso that 2nd sem for Seniors is shorter). We meet twice a week on both schedules. Sync sessions are either lecture or activities with your groupmates. You can always consult via email or anytime (even weekends, just politely ask). What made it even more draining is it's online. +++ Campus WiFi at the time was sooo bad. At Macci, CoPav, CTC (assigned room), signal gets really baaad!! It's hard to have ol classes for this course since, when you get disconnected, you'll get lost na lang from the jump of the ideas. Tipong you get it, but kumirap ka lang, di mo na alam HAHAHA
Most importantly, pray to God you get good groupmates. It's not choose your own, it's based on your interest about the topics you wanna talk about. My group wasn't that bad naman, but there have been instances of freeloading and ghosting—I get it, Seniors kami, yada yada. Not an excuse tho. Which is why, again, dasal is life! Significant chunk of requirements would be that you make two system dynamic models (using Vensim app)—one individually, one by group. Since ayun nga, some group members are ghosting, naapektuhan talaga indiv output ko. Tas sila, focus na focus sa indiv output nila, wtf right? hahaha;; Anyway, thing is Henry's expectations for group work is significantly high kasi more heads are working daw. Valid naman, but it gets real crappy if hindi maganda work ethics ng kasama mo. There's no peer evals pa!
Teaching style, v straightforward talaga na class lectures—reads the slides, explains it, asks the floor for questions. He doesn't upload slides, but same info lang sa Canvas.
Requirements, class activities and final projects lang—no quizzes or exams. Class activities are the modular passes that are required as you proceed with the final project. Basically, at the end of Module 5, your final project is your (improved) Passes 1-5.
Tip, he grades based on accuracy and complexity of your model. Gets naman ito! Research is life talaga.
Overall, a 6/10 that could easily have been a 9/10 experience if all groupmates are cooperative. 🙏

About feedback:
You present your passes on Zoom, and there have been multiple instances for our group na he points out areas for improvement and he tells "overall, good output". You will/can apply the improvements on the one-pager pass (yes, one page lang for each pass), and he will grade the paper/pass. Buuut, "overall, good output" is like 3.8 of 5 (ganyang vibes)—literal na good = "good" sa Likert scale BWHAHAHA
