hi! i had sir bacaoco back in third year (sy 2022-2023) and we used to have all identification quizzes per topic and each would cover at least 2-3 powerpoints (15 points per learning check) and it was quite challenging for me tbh cause sometimes the amount of slides you have to study would reach 90+ and his questions could get a bit specific. had fun doing the other papers and the pairworks tho!! in terms of his workload, it’s moderate naman since it’s in line with what the course demands. i would say that he’s B+ able with a bit of effort 😅more

Study the book well. Pay attention in his class and remember his examples. And yes, he is boring so the effort you must muster is the effort to stay awake in his class. He uses his examples in his exams. He's a wizard in grading tho. He starts the sem with a no cancellable exam rule. However, If your class's standing is below average in the first LT, he starts implementing a cancellable exam. Afterwards, if your class's standing will still be below average, he would give a retake exam in the succeeding exams. Also answer the problem sets he gives you. They're really helpful. The last thing is, he recycles the problems he gives in his LTs for the final exam. As in same exact questions, same variables, etc. Follow these tips and you will most likely be excempted. :))more

I don’t think he curved for our class HAHAHA but it depends on how everyone is doing overall. But he’s really nice imo?? I failed the midterms and i went to him and asked what to do because i was aiming for a certain QPI. And he gave like 5 bonus papers HAHAHAHAH i think if u tell him abt ur situation etc he’s rly considerate?? He told me explicitly after the sem that he gave out bonus papers bc of me HAHAHAHAHAHAmore

agree with abby ^^ sir JB is a good prof + very considerate. you could really tell that he cares about his students. he always makes it a point to tell us that our mental health is important LOL it’s just that the study load for his short quizzes was very overwhelming so it was hard to prepare for them haha. i remember one quiz had like a 7 ppt coverage, with the questions being really specific 💀 overall get him if u wanna learn + arent too grade conscious (B+ able with some effort!)more

He was my ENLIT prof and we had an online setup. • About him: matalino siya, nag-aral siya abroad so he really knows his shit • Our readings were lengthy. He made us read a 300-page novel and write a paper about application ng lectures lol mahilig siyang mag-set ng word count sa essays. • He's very open to consultations. He also is very generous in tems of deadline extension, like you can submit everything by the end of the sem • He reads your work. He gives feedbacks medj late, pero he is going to comment on ur MS Word document kung na-hit mo ba yung hinahanap niyang sagot, or kung naiintindihan niya ba sinasabi mo. • Sa emails niya lang sinesend mga readings per module. All essays are submitted via email din tapos mahigpit siya sa format (font size, style, title ng email, name ng document, etc) • He gives an A sa quiz essays if u deserve it talaga. Similarly, he also gives F :"( • I got a B hahahahhahh hirap talaga ako sa literature ^__^ TIPS: 1) Participate during lectures 2) Consult!!!more

Had him for an ENLIT subject (not ENE but I heard he conducts himself more or less the same). (1) He's extremely strict with citations. You can get points off by a wrong comma or incomplete details. (2) Expect lengthy readings that can get abstract at times, so be sure to ask him questions during class and consult with him. (3) Overall a really insightful teacher (gives extremely in depth comments on your work which are super helpful) and he gives fulfilling class materials (5) B+ with great effort!more

I love Sescon! He’s super nice and is so sweet! …But…he does not teach well. I went into ECON 112 loving macro more than micro, but I left not knowing a thing. I will never forget that there were some days when Sir would go from page 5 of the ppt to page 15 and back to 10 and then fast forward again. It was incredibly confusing. However, Sir is extremely understanding when you ask him questions and go to him for consultations. I suggest taking advantage of the consultations for the papers since Sir’s input is really helpful.more

i had him for socsci/econ - he’s super nice pero boring sa class i think we can all agree - he grades neutrally fair but more so high if you make sense and have a solid supporting argument and evidences for your answers - we only had papers and never onsite stuff (puro lectures) - he doesnt rly expect a lot i guess need mo lang talaga maexplain concepts na sinusulat mo with what he gave sa mga lecture slides para safemore
