I finished his class recently, and he's fairly good naman in teaching Korean. Though tbh, he really does have high standards minsan and that can scare one off a lot. He's a bit pressuring din so you have to really work really hard if you're having a hard time learning the language. He does make his lectures fun. He does class participation a lot. I honestly enjoyed his class, pero not gonna lie, I felt so pressured. He's considerate din actually, especially during finals. If you make a mistake and are able to fix it naman during the orals he does not deduct points naman.more

Hi! I took his KRN 11 class last intersession (‘23-‘24) He’s a good and kind prof naman. However, I would just say na make sure to really go through the modules and word lists na he uploads. It would help you a lot kasi he might expect you to already know the Korean words he’ll use in class. Generally speaking, you’re in good hands. Just make sure to prepare before classes. He may sound strict or disappointed sometimes if the class takes a long time responding to his questions, but it doesn’t make him a terror prof. In fact, he’s considerate, approachable, and he makes his lectures fun and interactive (he has games too :’))more

took javier and mas mabigat workload niya kaysa kay rico (to compare it to a friend who took the class)! pero very motherly vibes si au saem 🤓 really cares about her students and offers consultations talaga! requirements are composed of written tests, pair works (speaking tasks), and an individual speaking task for the finals! based on what i hear, i feel like all krn 11 profs are very nice in general naman 🤗 also had friends who took magoncia, and no negative feedbacks naman!more

WOO SUN JUNG SHES THE GOAT!!! shes very understanding and patient. she also teaches us korean games and she brings us snacks pag nagkkorea sya. love her so much! easy a as long as u listen talaga.more

if au ssaem's class is in a non-aircon room, u have a hard time latching onto a language, or you don't like learning by doing pair discussions/exercises, i would not recommend. i did ok bc i was pretty familiar with korean already, but she goes a bit fast and doesn't speak clearly sometimes. for krn 11, she also doesn't teach the writing system. imo she also doesn't make an effort to accomadate/understand u— not necessarily maliciously, but she's a bit on the older side, so she wants things to be simple and her way. if u get her, she's not a bad prof. but i wouldn't give her a glowing recommendation either, she's just ok tbhmore
