never had marcelo nor buot but been hearing no to buot soooo yea
positiveMATH 31.3
Had the pleasure of having them both before, even if neither are for 31.3.
Both of them are nice teachers and accommodating naman, although both expect some sophistication when presenting solutions, so don’t just write random BS, it will never work.
Buot’s quizzes tend to be on the easier side, but as a result, the departmental LTs may have a sharp difficulty spike. Marcelo’s quizzes tend to be harder but prepare you better for the departmental LTs.
The whole premise of Math 31.3 is to expect to bomb LT1 (very vibesy and proof-heavy, at most C+ usually) and then bawi with an A or B+ sa LT2 (very formulaic and computational). If you want an easier experience at the expense of your LT scores, go Buot. If you want to truly develop your mathematical rigor and have better LT scores, go Marcelo, which is who I would recommend in this case.more
