Glenda is better in my opinion!!!! Hahaha her pet peeves are noise, cuts, and not following instructions

ma'am oris is a great prof! she can be intimidating but she can be approached naman. she's also very passionate on what she's teaching so you will really learn a lot from her. her syllabus is organized and complete from the start of the sem pa lang so make sure to check on it kasi nandoon na lahat. workload can be HEAVY but she extends her deadlines naman. her quizzes is so well made and logically organized so it's a bit tricky but as long as you understand the readings naman, you're good. she grades objectively din and generous with bonus points. she doesn't go online classes unless very needed talaga and all her LTs are taken onsite.more

MIJARES, Jim- THE BEST!- Very chill, explains concepts easier- Understanding and caring about students- Please take him!!ORIS, Glenda- B+ with minimal effort, A with effort!- Her A is pretty high (97), but curve god- Teaches well but sit in front because you might not hear her properly haha- Also a solid prof! Would take her again

Ma'am oris hated our fil12 class HAHAH she called out a group because their ppt font style is not "times new roman" and the words aren't in middle or something like that. No joke HAHA she also called out one of my blockmates for wearing "jeans" to the paper defense when he was actually wearing chinos. If you take oris, make sure she likes you! HAHA grades fairly thoughmore

Had her for Fil 11 and got a B+ even after she got mad at me (and publicly reprimanded me (#INTENSE she even tagged me via facebook post) for submitting a group evaluations before the deadline and without an envelope hahahaha) during my experience her lectures were nice and insightful but she was moody at times. I got away with falling asleep though a few times and I was in the first row of her class. Just recite often(with correct answers) and make sure to listen to her lectures well and read the readings/materials so that you can do well with her quizzes and tests, and you'll probably be okay. I actually liked her before the whole FB post reprimanding fiasco in our FIL group.more

shes really passionate about her class!!! but tbh shes a hard pass for a prof cos she talks SO fast and most of the time they arent really important HAHAHA :((( her pop quizzes are also SUPER hassle :((( shes pretty B/B+ able tho even if you fail almost all of the quizzes!! she curves even if she says she doesnt 😂😂more

had her for first sem :')) strict when it comes to grammar and formatting but she'll leave notes on how you can correct/improve bc she's really passionate about what she teaches. if nahihirapan ka, schedule some consultations!! it's good kasi you can get more detailed advice and ask more questions + it shows her that you're tryingmore

Wait are you taking Oris for 14? I liked her on Fil 11. Technical siya, but I liked the way she discussed our readings. Very intimidating, which I think is why some of my blockmates didn't like her. Mahusay ka naman sa Filipino. Tingin ko, magugustuhan mo naman siya (at baka ganoon din siya sa'yo haha)more

Had her for Fil12!! Difficult to deal with personality-wise (because she returns required work late, meticulous, won't let you go to the restroom during class, lowkey shades some students huhu), but in terms of work, it's not heavy. But since late niyang binabalik ang requirements, then adjusting to her deadlines may be hard. Consult with her though!! She's really nice during consultations. She curves. :)more

Got her for both Fil 11 & 12!! Admittedly, she can be hassle and boring, but you will learn a lot. She strictly follows the Filipino sa Pamantasan, and she'll refer to this a lot re: your papers! Do consult with her because super bait and helpful niya sa consultations!! She was A-able for fil 11 & 12, but I'm not sure how she is for Fil14 HEHE :-)more

Read the readings, be careful of her “Which statements are correct? 1, 2, both, neither” questions, note down answers from previous quizzes. Exam seemed hard but i got a better score than expected. If she offers bonus points for doing well in a different project, try to do well and she’ll give a good number of points.more

similar to the quizzes, read the readings thoroughly and make sure u paid attention to what she says in class in terms of interpretations her lts have more points earnable than the maximum score so make sure you answer all the questions studied 1-2 nights for each lt and got a score above the maximum points. pretty doable imho 👍more

pro tip for sir lolek theo 11 is to never cut any lessons as theyre info packed (++ take notes!) and PLS do the readings (dont cram them like i did bc theyre super impt for orals) b+/a with effort! As for oris, I didn't get her, but my friend did and all i can say is good luck 😭 she has a lot of asynch classes/online is what i knowmore

I took both of them, Oris was my fil11 and Carlota was my fil12. They're both patapon :)) But I prefer Mam Oris because she knows what she's talking about even if she can be a bit boring and sometimes goes off tangent. She's motherly also. She's easily charmed by guys HAHAHA :)) Mam Carlota on the other hand I didn't know what was happening in class 90% of the time :)) She tends to ramble and discuss stuff that aren't related to the lesson at all. She's also fond of reporting so I barely showed up to class :)) Both of them, you kinda don't know what grade you're gonna get because their requirements are medj malabo and I didn't really understand the grading system. But expect a B-C :))more

FOR ONLINE SETTING: FILI 12 OKAY NAMAN SI MA’AM TBH. Strict lang sya talaga pero hindi naman terror. For workload hmmm, sya yung lightest workload ko ngayong sem. Ingat lang kase may mga times na mahirap intindihin instructions nya. Pero pag nag follow-up questions ka, sasagutin ka naman. 95-100 need mo ma reach para maka A ka unlike other subs na 92 lang. Pero ang maganda dyan mataas sya mag bigay ng raws scores so kaya naman, Basta follow the directions lang talaga lagi and follow yung lahat ng comments nya during consultations. Pro Tip: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ka lang pwede mag-send ng email! (Very strict sya dito)more

I had a hard time understanding what she wanted from us for the first few assessments BUT my groupmates really worked hard on our paper. We always attended consultations. Our paper wasn’t doing well at first but for the final submission, maam CURVED and gave us an A for the paper. You really have to work hard for this class. Focus on grammar, spelling, content and double check everything. Having good groupmates will definitely help you. Maam is lenient with submissions though. She allowed us to submit past deadlines without deductions. Don’t be afraid to approach her and ask for help! If you’re really good with Filipino, definitely A-able if you work hard. But Maam talaga is a curve god so she can also just surprise you in the end. Good luck if you gave her!! more
